Coronavirus (Covid-19)

Dear All

Regrettably, considering the Government's announcement on 16th March 2020, the Directors and I have had to make the decision to allow staff to work remotely from home and therefore there will only be skeleton staff in the office from Monday to Friday between 9am and 12.00pm to process incoming post and deal with prearranged appointments. Thereafter from Monday 15th June the office will be fully operational from 9am to 5pm (this may be subject to change). Your solicitor will keep in touch with you remotely from their respective homes. If you are a new client you may still contact us and we shall attend to you via telephone or video link. This is a decision we have had to make based on our assessment of risk and the ability to operate safely on behalf of our staff and more importantly, you, as our clients. You may telephone reception which will be fully manned on 020 8570 6661 during 9am to 5pm (weekdays) and your call will be directed to the relevant solicitor. You can also book a video meeting using the link below. For further details on video meetings please click HERE.

This decision has been made to allow staff to self-isolate for the new government recommended time period of 14 days notwithstanding that all our staff remain asymptomatic. We are simply following the Government’s guidelines to limit face to face interaction in order to prevent further spread. This serves as a safe and practical way for our staff, and importantly, working for you, as our clients.

Lovell Chohan Reception will continue to remain open, but we will not be dealing with any face to face appointments with our clients but instead will take your contact details and pass them to the appropriate solicitor to deal with instructions by telephone conferencing, FaceTime or Skype. This will not hinder our clients or our staff as the relevant fee earners will be operating and conducting cases remotely. We are extremely well equipped with our IT to deal with matters in this way.

We will continue to take on new clients and assist them fully and professionally notwithstanding that our staff will be operating remotely from home.

As both a Solicitor and Managing Director for Lovell Chohan Solicitors, I sincerely appreciate that these are very uncertain and deeply worrying times and we as a Firm will do all that is possible on your behalf in a safe and structured manner.

We will continue to update you via this website.

I wish you all well and take care.

Lovell Chohan
