Andrew is a Senior Solicitor specialising in Employment Law and Civil Litigation. He studied law at Essex University followed by a Master’s degree at Kiel University in Germany before qualifying as a solicitor in 2002.

Andrew acts for both employees and employers in Employment Tribunals as well as the High Court and County Court and usually conducts his own advocacy in Employment Tribunals. His experience includes; Unfair and Constructive Dismissal; Redundancy; all forms of Discrimination; Breach of Contract and Unlawful Deduction of Wages; TUPE; Equal Pay; Minimum Wage; Flexible and Part-Time Working, Maternity and Paternity issues; and Working Time. In addition, Andrew advises on and prepares: Contracts of Employment; Staff Handbooks including Disciplinary and Grievance Procedures as well as Compromise Agreements. Andrew also  presents seminars, workshops and offers training in all areas of Employment Law.

He is a member of the Employment Lawyers Association and a frequent contributor to their monthly newsletter, ela Briefing. Andrew has also recently been involved in the Employment Lawyers Association’s response to the Government’s consultation on introducing fees in the Employment Tribunals and the Employment Appeal Tribunal.

In relation to Civil Litigation, Andrew acts for both private individuals and companies whether bringing or defending claims in the High Court and the County Court and in arbitrations and mediations. He has experience of: Breach of Contract and Debt Recovery claims; Consumer Credit actions; Professional Negligence; Work-Related Stress and Personal Injury claims.
